Live in the moment

Help me financially so that I can help others.

I found a pea size lump around Thanksgiving of 2007. No symptoms at all.

My Surgery was April 1 and April 3rd. Pretty easy. I was happy to see my breast had not changed because of surgery.

I officially start radiation tomorrow. I do like my Radiation Oncologist. He is pretty cool.

Because I was Her2+ my oncologist wanted me to have Chemo but my gut said NO! I believe in the power of my body then the Chemo drugs.

Because I didn’t have Chemo they won’t give me Herceptin. Politics. It hasn’t been approved by the FDA that way. Would love to meet other women who have bucked the system.

I bake cupcakes. I leave them on my friends doorsteps. They are beautiful and have helped me heal. I have received a few orders. I hope this continues because it will be a great way for me to take care of myself financially.

TamoxifenViews: 399

Hello Everyone,

I have been on Tamoxifen for about a month now. I am having side effects and I am thinking of going off of it. I am researching some holistic alternatives. Has anyone been on it and still had a re-occurance. Does anyone have anything good to say about it??

Wish I could be of help but I have not started mine yet…yes I picked up the script and had been waiting to take it untill I started Radiation…which I am going for my first visit to him tomorrow, but since my last post I had a second onocolist view on my case, and he suggects I do 4 regemins of TC with radiation to follow along wiht Tamoxifen because of tumor size and family history, besides he said I am young and I can handle it with easse ‘scratching my head’ what does ith ease mean? What does 4 regemins mean? Is there such a thing as a low does of this that will not cause all the symptoms that I am reading about on this chemo? Sorry here I am rambling and your looking for help, then again I guess we all are, that is why we are here as one large family with many issues, complaints, complamints, reaching out offering what ever it is that gets us thru the day :)

Thanks and Good Luck and God Bless!

Kathleen,

Thank you for your warm thoughts and support.
I’m sorry to hear about your struggle with side effects. I will be starting my chemo soon too, and I would lvoe to hear about holistic alternative treatment as well.

Hugs,
Yuyu

So, you baked cupcakes while you waited around for news? Hmm, I am afraid if I begin baking them I might not stop and miss my apointment altogether. (smile)

Why? Why oh why do I have to go through anymore? I had finally accepted the breast Cancer and now, an ultrasound tomorrow will determine the rest of my fate. When does it end?

I’d like to hear about the side effects you had. Please share any information you want.

Sonia
